Changes

I had a lovely chat with Aunt Tracy this afternoon....thank you for your wisdom. I tend to talk off and on about changes, so here I go again. I can never get enough of it, especially when life is a constant change. I am so thankful for change...even though at times...it's harder to adjust when it happens.

I see that life has definitely changed for many in my life. I am grateful for all of it. If we stayed exactly the way we are now, would you be happy? I know that I'm glad I'm a "Work in Progress" for our Heavenly Father. He did make me perfect, yet I have choices to make every day! I'm not where I want to be in lots of things...yet I am happy at some that I am! Here's a thankful list of people and things in my life:

• Having an amazing husband, who takes care of me.
• A church family, who is so amazing...and a pastor, who I feel talks to me every Sunday with his sermons!
• A family, who loves me no matter what....and I love spending time with them when I get to!
• A job that keeps me running around and adjusting, so that I don't ever know the feeling of "boredom".
• A life for which God has blessed me more than I could ever want.
• A home that is gorgeous and feels so warm and loving!

Yes, I may get emotional about the changes that take place.....yet, I know God is going to get me up and down the mountain....it just might take a little longer for me than those around me.

I just have to SHOUT it to the world...."GOD is EVERYTHING to me"! I know that my schedule can get in the way...but like my pastor stated this past Sunday....

What goes into the well....will be drawn up in the bucket! So, no matter where your path takes you....know that whatever you put in...will come out. Change happens...how we deal with it in the end....helps others see our character.

I'm praying that I can make time to put HIS WISDOM in, so more of it will come out. Hang in there for whatever you are going through....change can make us be the best version of ourselves. Have a blessed day and know that you are in my prayers through all that your journey will bring to you and for those around you.

This is something that I can relate to. I'm glad God has a plan, because I'd be very scared if He didn't. I'm so very lucky to have family and friends lift me up and keep my spirits high. God is so very good! Have an awesome week!

Don't Worry, Be Happy

I'm finding that I have to remind myself of this little saying a lot more than I used to. I wish we could take all the worry and pity parties away, but I guess we wouldn't get relief like we need to. Last night Tiffanie, my cousin-in-law, and I watched two amazing movies...

August Rush and No Reservations

Perfect movies for how I've been lately with putting pressures of too many things on my plate. I know you can relate, because we are human...naturally drawn to the state of overload with no time.

I want to make a stand....and start worrying less and just being happy. Life doesn't always work out how we'd like it, but God works it out to His perfect plan. I know I won't always have a good day. I'll cry now and again, but I still will reflect on the positive...at some point in there and SMILE....while praising God for my many blessings!

I hope this little blog post finds you thinking about your blessings....even in the midst of a storm. Everything works out eventually...just not quite in our time frame.

We will be going overseas in about 3 weeks, which is pretty cool. I'm excited and ready to go! I hope I stop and relish in the wonders around me.....because life is too fast and short not to stop at least once a day. Lots of Love!

MOVING

Well, over the next several days.....Michael and I are moving into our new house in the Berry Hill Community! We are very excited! I still have to do work and school, so there's lots of twisting and turning of the scheduling. I promise to get pics up in the next couple of weeks. I want to get it close to decorated before sharing.

2008 is Zooming By

As you can see, I haven't gotten a chance to keep up with my blog page. I am reminded that there is a time for everything in life. One of my favorite passages from the bible is from Ecclesiastes 3: 1-15

A Time for Everything
1 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:
2 a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3 a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build,
4 a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain,

Though January has gone by zooming past me, I know that God is taking care of every detail of my life. I have to trust Him and do my part. There will be more updates to come, but here's just a grocery list of right now:
1. We bought a new home.
2. I'll be competing in a pagaent next month.
3. I'm still trying to keep up with training on my next Marathon: Marathon de Paris.
4. Michael is trying to decide on one of three promotions.
5. We are trying to start our family.
6. Our current house needs sold.

This is just highlights, there's more exciting things to come...2008 is definitely going to keep us busy and happy...PRAISE GOD! :)

Hidden Meaning: 12 Days of Christmas

One of my friends shared this with me! I thought it was really neat to see the hidden meanings behind such a famous song. You may have already seen this, but I thought I'd post just in case. I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas.

The Origin of The Twelve Days of Christmas

There is one Christmas Carol that has always baffled me. What in the world do leaping lords, French hens, swimming swans, and especially the partridge who won't come out of the pear tree have to do with Christmas?

Today I found out, thanks to the Internet. From 1558 until 1829, Roman Catholics in England were not permitted to practice their faith openly. Someone during that era wrote this carol as a catechism song for young Catholics. It has two levels of meaning: the surface meaning plus a hidden meaning known only to members of their church. Each element in the carol has a code word for a religious reality which the children could remember.

1. The partridge in a pear tree was Jesus Christ.
2. Two turtle doves were the Old and New Testaments.
3. Three French hens stood for faith, hope and love.
4. The four calling birds were the four gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke & John.
5. The five golden rings recalled the Torah or Law, the first five books of the Old Testament.
6. The six geese a-laying stood for the six days of creation.
7. Seven swans a-swimming represented the sevenfold gifts of the Holy Spirit: Prophesy, Serving, Teaching, Exhortation, Contribution, Leadership, and Mercy.
8. The eight maids a-milking were the eight beatitudes.
9. Nine ladies dancing were the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self Control.
10. The ten lords a-leaping were the Ten Commandments.
11. The eleven pipers piping stood for the eleven faithful disciples.
12. The twelve drummers drumming symbolized the twelve points of belief in the Apostles' Creed.
